FAQ:
What counts as loss of virginity?
The whole concept of virginity is pretty nebulous. Instead of drawing strict rules about what counts and what doesn’t, I trust that the participants will approach the subject in good faith. When in doubt, I encourage people to think about it from the character’s POV: how do they feel about it?

You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
This exchange follows a “no kinkshaming” policy. Dark subjects like rape, incest and underage sex are allowed in this exchange. If something isn’t to your tastes, move along!
The point of this exchange is to have fun! Your approach to creating something shouldn’t be “what can I get away with” but “what would make my recipient happy”.
Each participant must write an original, brand new story, created specifically to fulfill a request in this exchange. It must meet the following requirements:
The works and authors must stay anonymous until the official reveal date. Don’t share your work anywhere before the reveals, not even snippets of it (using a beta reader is allowed, of course). Don’t contact your recipient directly, either: if you have questions or concerns, contact the mods instead at unplowed.exchange@gmail.com
The collection will not be revealed until every participant has received a gift. However, to be guaranteed a gift, you must request at least three unique fandoms.
Art:
We decided not to allow art for this exchange. I'm sorry if this disappoints anyone. However, art can be offered as an extra treat! Please note in your "optional details" if you are open to receiving art treats (or if you DNW them completely, or are only willing to receive SFW treats).
Socks:
One well-behaved sock account is allowed, but please take care to adjust your offers and requests so that you don't end up being matched with yourself. Also note that if you sign up with two accounts, you also have to finish two assignments. Anyone abusing this rule will be banned from future rounds of this exchange.
RPF:
RPF in general is allowed. Underage famous people, politicians and non-famous people are not allowed. Nazis, white supremacists and TERFs are not allowed.
Nominations:
You may nominate 1-10 fandoms, 1-10 pairings in each fandom, and 1-10 additional freeform tags.
All crossover pairings will go under a “Crossover Fandom” fandom. Original work nominations will go under the “Original Work” fandom. "Canon character/original character" pairings are also allowed, and they will go under the canon character's fandom.

Freeforms:
The freeforms should all be related to the theme of the exchange somehow. Some examples:
Requests:
You may have 1-10 fandom requests. Each request can have 1-10 pairings and 1-20 freeform tags.
You can sign up with only one fandom, but to be guaranteed a gift, you must have at least three unique fandoms. If you don’t match with anyone, you will be sent out as an initial pinch-hit.
The “optional details” part of the signup form is for exactly that: any additional ideas or clarifications you might have, as well as your DNWs.
You may also link to an external letter where you can give more detailed prompts, but in order for your DNWs to be enforceable, they MUST be included in your AO3 signup.
DNWs:
“Do Not Want”, things you absolutely don’t want to see in your gift. You don’t have to justify your DNWs in any way, but please don’t use unnecessarily disparaging language.
If you request "Creator's Choice of Fandom", you may also DNW up to 5 fandoms.

Like requests, you may have 1-10 offers. If you are unmatchable, you will be asked to add more offers. If you don’t do it within the specified time, or you refuse to add more, your signup will be deleted.
It’s a good idea to take another look at the requests just before the signups close, to double-check that you are going to match with at least one person. Remember, you need to match on fandom, pairing AND one freeform tag.
You don’t have to write for the exact prompt you matched on - you just need to fulfill one of your recipient’s requests.
If you offer "Creator's Choice of Fandom", please note the fandoms your recipient might have in their DNWs.

Defaulting and pinch hits:
If you are unable to complete your assignment, please default! You can do this by going to the “My Assignments” page and hitting the “default” button. You will not be penalized if you default before the deadline. Anything can happen! Life is often busy and stressful!
However, if your assigned writer also defaults, you will not be sent out as a pinch hit.
If you fail to submit a complete work by the deadline and you haven’t defaulted in time, you will be banned from possible future exchange rounds.
Pinch hits will be posted to this comm. Claim them by commenting on the post, or by contacting the mods at unplowed.exchange@gmail.com. You don’t have to be signed up to claim a pinch hit.
Treats:
Treats are very much encouraged! You don’t have to be signed up to write treats, either. Similar to the assignments, treats must include at least one requested fandom, pairing and a freeform tag, and avoid the recipient's DNWs. They can be of any length, however.
To be able to receive treats, make sure that you have gifts enabled under the AO3 preferences!
You can also post treats to the collection itself, as a treat for everyone! Since there isn't a mod account, just submit the fic to the collection, but remember to mention in the author notes that it's a collection treat.
Again, you can also give art as an extra treat, but please check first if your recipient is open to receiving art, or is only open to SFW art.
The collection treats also have to be written using the pairings in the tagset.

Some examples:
- Character A shares handjobs with Character B. The experience is meaningful and fulfilling for Character A and they count it as their first time. Character B also likes it, but their understanding of loss of virginity involves penetration, so they don’t count the encounter as their first time.
- A character is raped, and the act would be counted as “loss of virginity” in nearly every culture. However, since it was nonconsensual, the character doesn’t personally see it as their first time. Only much later, when they have consensual sex with a loving partner for the first time, they consider that as losing their virginity.
- A character loses their memory. They might have been very sexually active before the memory loss, but now they are effectively an inexperienced virgin.
And so on.

Please note the correct nomination form. The pairing must indicate which one of the characters is the virgin. Canonical tags cannot be used here!

- Magical sex ritual requires a virgin
- First time - consensual
- First time - traumatic
- Kinky character was bored with their vanilla first time; wants a do-over
